Are we worthy enough for the future?
When did the future switch from being a promise to being a threat? There are so many questions about the future that keeps haunting me every now and then. One of the main questions stated above. It kills me everytime when I hear people blabbing about the future but the world needs to remember today is only a gift, that's why it's called present. Can you imagine today is only the present of life but if you look everywhere, everything are getting costly. So guessing in the future, I'll be picturing myself sitting at home alone with lots of stray cats. PS, I'm a cat lover but that's just scary. If you put these two words "future" and "money" in a sentence together, it's even scarier. That leads back to the question stated above. They say the future belongs to those who are prepare for it today. I know I'm not and I don't even know where to start but sooner or later I gotta start somewhere. So why not now? Oh boy, we all know "saving money" is something we are really terrible at but how hard have you tried to save? Mostly majority will spend their money on food but that is acceptable. Firstly, I'm a food lover so I can understand. Secondly, it gives you energy and health but that doesn't literally mean you need to spend your money on food everyday. Another thing that most of our money goes to is shopping on unnecessary things. I used to be shopaholic but I'm cured now. I remember my shopaholic days just like it was yesterday. The feeling after purchasing new clothes, pants and shoes are just wonderful especially when you wear it out, you feel like a newborn baby. Been there, done that and lesson learned. I used to spent more than half of my savings on something that I really didn't need and even now when I go home and look back at the stuffs in my closet, I never stop feeling regret of my actions. It's not worth it at all. That's when change comes! So in order to change our lifestyle better for the future, I decided to make my very own saving list. Hope it will benefit you in some ways.
How To Survive The Future
- Walk instead of taking the bus to short routes.
- Pack lunch/dinner and bring water bottle to work/school.
- Open up and check your fridge/freezer before going out to buy food. If there's food, you can find something to fry or cook for yourself.
- You can still go out and save money, it's depends on where you go and what you do but it's best to stay home to avoid spending AT ALL TIMES.
- If you don't have Wi-Fi at home and need to cut down on your phone bills, you can visit to places near to your area that have free internet access.
- Design and create your old items instead of ordering and purchasing new ones.
- Sell your no more used clothes, pants, shoes, things and accessories on Carousell.
- Watch online movies instead of going to the cinema.
- Don't be ashame to use vouchers and coupons. Better to broke than sorry.
- Play sports or find hobbies.
- Say NO to shopping unless when there's GSS where there are sales and offers.
- Nap, it's priceless.
I wish a brighter future ahead of us.
